Ever see a totally crazy cool music video that's somewhat outrageous, far fetched, colourful, crazy, insane, reminiscent of Lady Gaga, and an ode to Haute Couture that clearly takes place in an alternate reality but nonetheless challenges some people's morals so much so that those people irrationally react to what they think are suggestive bad examples destroying the youth of today...but really it's all just a metaphor for something so wonderfully wonderful...and you can't take your eyes off it because the visual stimulation is the equivalent of crack to the brain? Ya...well I'm gonna be making one. A music video. Wow...that first paragraph was the worst run on sentence in the history of run on sentences. Oh well....it's my blog....and I'm going to write like I speak. If this offends anyone...please raise your hand. To those of you who raised your hands....YOU SUCK! So...like I was saying....My best girlfriend Stephanie Clattenburg and I....now officially the hottest female dance/pop/disco duo (you heard me) in Halifax, are going to be making a music video that kicks ASS...and that may potentially get people high on SheMachine - our band. I know what most of you are thinking...."What?? Another band? A Dance/Pop/Disco band?????" Make no mistake...I am still "blacker than the blackest black...times infinity" - not just my skin - the Heavy Metal within (That was a quote from Metalocalypse by the way), but sometimes I just wanna freakin' dance! So I figured, why not make pop music I actually want to dance to, and that I can stand to listen to for more than 30 seconds. Stephanie more known as the drummer for one of Halifax's former fave bands "The Superfantastics" comes from an indie rock / punk rock sort of background....but has traded in her laid back ways for a life of drumming in high heels (hot) and GLITTER (not the lame Mariah Carey movie). This is the real deal yo! Really....like real glitter....the kind that only Mena Von Fleish famous Halifax / Toronto Burlesque Diva - could make stick to everything for EVER! Mena glitter magic. In a late night meeting at starbucks last night, we hashed out our wicked plot for the video which Stephanie (also an amazing camera-man for CBC) will be writing the treatment for and directing, and laid out the structure and melody for our official first single for which the video will be made. It was an awesome moment in time...that and meeting Jonathan Torrens for the first time, and having a conversation about surprises. LOL. Oh...late night rendevous at Starbucks....the gathering place of artists. My life Rocks!
